Welcome

I’m Blake McLean. I work as a narrative therapist which means I am strength based and listen for the untold story of how you have fought back against the problem that has taken over. My role is to assist in the re-installation of hope in your life. Working in collaboration, we explore the problem in the context of larger social issues. What role does race, class, gender, sexuality, or religion have in amplifying the problem? We will comb through the past to search for unique and interesting ways you’ve managed to overcome difficulties in the past and see if any of these tools can play a part in helping manage the current problem. We will discuss your preferred way of being seen and look at the barriers preventing you from reaching your goals.

    I specialize in working with young professionals who experience imposter syndrome, those struggling to figure out what direction they want to go, and those who want to increase their confidence and self-esteem.

    I help partners navigate life transitions, setbacks, and relationship challenges. I help establish real, lasting change toward improving your relationship in an environment where everyone feels respected and heard.

  • Family

    I have a whole family approach to helping children, individuals, and families heal from disconnection, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, behavioral problems, divorce, addiction, and alcoholism.

  • The Voiceless

    I am passionate about supporting voiceless and have spent years working with homeless and incarcerated clients and I am uniquely trained to work within the Mental Health and Family Courts.
